DIA’s Managing Board has selected Banka Poštanska štedionica as the agent bank to reimburse insured depositors of Alta banka.
By Friday 6 November 2026, the DIA will announce on its website (www.aod.rs) the start date of reimbursement and post the list of the agent bank’s branches and offices where the insured depositors can collect their funds. Legal deadline for the DIA to initiate the reimbursement process is seven working days starting from today.
Serbian deposit guarantee scheme covers natural persons, entrepreneurs, and micro, small and medium-sized entities by the limit of EUR 50,000, regardless of the currency or type of account they had in the bank. All insured depositors will be facilitated access to the funds they kept in Alta banka via the agent bank – Banka Poštanska štedionica. Funds in dinars will be repaid in dinars, whereas the funds in other currencies will be repaid in euros.
Deposit Insurance Fund has sufficient funding for reimbursement of insured depositors of Alta banka. DIA’s operational capacities have been fully deployed to ensure the most efficient payout of the insured amounts. Information regarding the further procedure will be published in a timely manner on the DIA’s website and in the media.
